Buckland Books We have just had news of an
important new book on mosaics. This is the first complete corpus of
mosaics from the ancient city of Antioch and the book has been published to
coincide with the opening of a major exhibition in Worcester, Massachusetts,
USA. We are hoping to have a review copy in time for the British
Association for Modern Mosaic AGM on Saturday 14the October 2000, but in the
meantime, here are some of the physical details: | ||

Judging by the standard of previous publications from this publisher, this should be a beautiful book! More in due course! We also have a new mosaic video:

This is an excellent guide to making mosaics illustrated by using a few simple and more advanced projects. Both direct and indirect methods are explained and illustrated and there are hints and tips on cutting, designing and using colour. There was a rather obnoxious hiss on the background of my copy, but this should not detract too much! And another new book:

Revised and updated English edition of the classic work on Labyrinths first published in German in 1982. A superb and exhaustive study of labyrinths around the world including many mosaic examples as well as other materials. This is an incredible work of research, organised with as much precision as the original labyrinths! We now have a price for 0372 La Ceramique Architecturale, introduced in our last newsletter. This excellent book is now available at just £26.00. Superb value. Stop Press: We are pleased to announce that we can now accept credit and debit card orders. Please do not e-mail card details as we do not yet have secure facilities. Orders may be telephoned or faxed to: +44 (0) 1903 717 648. Buckland Books
