I am researching the patterns and markings on the backs of U.S. ceramic tiles (1870s-1930s) for an expanded/revised edition of my book, A GUIDE TO THE PATTERNS AND MARKINGS ON THE BACKS OF UNITED STATES CERAMIC TILES, 1880s-1930s. I would appreciate any photocopies or e-mailed images of marked tile backs, as well as photocopies or e-mailed images of unmarked tile backs from known manufacturers. Any information about the tile--tile size, clay body, type of tile (molded relief, intaglio, encaustic, ...),etc.--would also be useful. Will pay cost of photocopies and postage.
